Meeting and teaching room.
The meeting room can accommodate up to 30 people, and teaching room can accommodate up to 15 people comfortably.
The teaching room is equipped with new seating and desk tables. There is a wall mounted projector and magnetic whiteboard and flipchart available to use.
We also have a portable projector and screen which can be used in any room.
Kitchen
A fully equipped, high specification kitchen is included in the room hire. There is a full set of crockery and cutlery for all your light refreshment catering needs.
COVID secure facilities
We ensure that all our facilities are Covid secure by making hand sanitiser available on entry and around the building, ensuring suitable handwashing facilities are available. New HEPA Air purifiers operating in both rooms and clear signs posted around the building to ensure social distancing/sensible number of people in each room.
Wifi
There is free wifi available for all your guests to use.
Refreshments
We are able to provide a wide selection of refreshments and buffet style menus to suit all budgets and requirements. We are able to provide a wide selection of catering requests. For more details and menu choices please contact us.
Refreshments and buffet lunches will be self-service.
Room Bookings
Rooms are available to hire within St Matthew's House for groups or individuals our rooms can be set up to suit a variety of needs
St Matthews House room booking and catering fees and charges. Room bookings: £40 non-refundable deposit for each booking. all charges per hour except*
We include hirers liability insurance up to £1million in our bookings.
Community: Local St Matthews groups and residents, events and activities solely for St Matthews residents
Standard: Local businesses, private bookings, City-based schools, colleges, universities, any statutory organisations, Community instructors, faith groups etc where activities are charged for. Businesses, any activity where the intention is to make a profit e.g. large ticketed events and sales.
Catering costs per person
You are welcome to provide your own catering, but if you require the use of the kitchen or set up and clear away we will charge self-catering admin and facilitation charge minimum per booking. See table below.
Travel to St Matthew's House.
St Matthew's House is located next door to Leicester City Centre and is just a short 16-minute walk from Leicesters famous Clock Tower and Haymarket and Highcross Shopping Centres.
Please note that St Matthews House is situated in a residential area and parking can sometimes be limited. We strongly advise people to use the nearby bus routes or park at the pay and display parking located on Belgrave Road. (9 Minutes) or NCP Lee Circle Car park in Leicester City Centre (10 minutes)
Cycle Stands
There is also a cycle stand outside St Matthews House with further cycle stands at St Matthews Neighbourhood Centre, Malabar Road (2-minute walk) and Cruyff Court - St Matthews on Willow Street (2 minutes walk).
Bus Stations / Bus Travel
St Margaret's bus station is a 13-minute walk.
Haymarket bus station is an 11-minute walk.
There is a bus stop on Christow Street (Number 21 Bus) and Belgrave Road (2, 5, 5A, 6, 22, 22A, 22B, 22C, 25, 26, 54, 54A, 100, 126, 127, 128, X5, X45), Which are both just a 2 minute walk from our building.
Train Station
Leicester train station is a 19 minute walk, or a 5 minute taxi or car drive
